Common tasks

Common tasks are flexible building blocks in claimr used to guide users through basic actions that don’t require validation, connected accounts, or external tracking. These tasks are lightweight, easy to configure, and work well for onboarding steps, manual interactions, or placeholder content.

Use Common tasks to

  • Add manual or instructional steps to your quest

  • Confirm actions without collecting evidence

  • Collect form-based input or votes

  • Distribute invite or gift codes

  • Integrate rewards and routing logic without external tracking

When you select Common as the category during task creation, you’ll see several options available. Each one focuses on a different type of self-contained action.

  • Block – Require users to copy text, click a button, or both to complete the task.

  • Custom task – Display an open-ended instruction and let users submit a response. Can optionally be validated manually or auto-confirmed.

  • Secret code – Ask users to enter a specific code in order to complete the task.

  • Poll – Let users vote on a question with multiple choices. No correct answer is required.

  • Daily checkin – Allow users to complete the task once per day, with a single click.

  • Custom reward – Deliver a fixed reward (e.g. NFT, token, role) through your own logic, without requiring user input.

  • Submit a claimr form – Collect user responses through a form created inside claimr.

  • Team selector – Let users pick a team or group as part of your quest flow.

  • Enter invite code – Let users enter a campaign invite code to proceed.

  • Claim gift code – Automatically assign and reveal a unique code to each user who completes the task.

Each task type comes with its own configuration and use cases. Learn more in the dedicated articles.
